Convert FLAC to WAV

Decode supported 16-bit FLAC audio into PCM WAV for audio workflows that need an uncompressed file.

Selecting a file does not upload it. Upload and convert sends it to temporary server storage. One file at a time; 25 MiB maximum.

How it works

  1. Select one supported .flac file and read the limits below.
  2. Choose Upload and convert to start temporary server processing. You can cancel while it runs.
  3. Download the validated .wav result before its one-hour expiry and review the contents.

WAV stores the decoded PCM samples and can be substantially larger than FLAC. The conversion preserves supported sample rates and mono/stereo channels, without restoring information lost before the FLAC was created.

Supported documents and limitations

One file, up to 25 MiB and 60 seconds. Only 16-bit PCM WAV or 16-bit FLAC, 8–48 kHz, mono or stereo. Sample rate and channels are preserved. Tags and cover art are not retained. Output may be larger; this does not improve source quality.

Temporary server processing

Your file is uploaded only when you choose to convert. An isolated worker processes it without network access. Uploaded files expire after one hour; completed outputs expire one hour after completion. Failed, cancelled or deleted jobs become eligible for immediate cleanup. Service outages can delay physical deletion; a previously issued download link can remain valid briefly. Clear files to request early deletion. Downloads saved on your device remain there.

Frequently asked questions

Will WAV sound better than FLAC?

No. These formats can represent the same samples. WAV is useful for compatibility, not for adding missing audio detail.
