How to use Reorder PDF Pages

  1. 1

Select a PDF and read its page list.

  2. 2

Use each page’s up or down button to move it to a new position.

  3. 3

Create a PDF with the displayed page order.

Repair the sequence of a scanned document

Move a misplaced cover to the front or restore the sequence of scanned sheets. Each row shows both its current position and its original page number, so you can distinguish where a page will go from where it came from. The up and down controls work with Tab and Enter as well as touch.

What to expect

Reordering includes every page exactly once. Use the separate Extract or Delete tool to omit pages. Page labels refer to original physical positions; printed page numbers and document-level bookmarks are not rewritten.

Private browser processing and practical limits

Your PDF content is processed in this browser and is not uploaded to FileNimble. Input and output remain in memory until you clear the tool or leave the page. Downloads are saved by your browser. Large or unusually complex PDFs can exceed available device memory even below the stated limits; use a smaller plain PDF if processing fails.

Encrypted PDFs, interactive forms, signed documents, portfolios, embedded files and scripts are rejected. Document-level bookmarks and navigation structures are not preserved by page-copy operations. Results are not certified archival, redacted or sanitized documents. Review important output before sharing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Page 3 change its name after I move it?

No. Page 3 always means the third page of your original PDF. The Position label changes to show its new place in the result.

Can I reorder without dragging?

Yes. Every page has named Move up and Move down buttons that support keyboard and touch input.

Can this tool combine two PDFs?

No. Use Merge PDF first, then reorder the pages of the merged document if needed.
